House of the heart “The Home” is the place where many people hold memories, positive or negative. Through photographs, personal paraphernalia and life events we can all associate with and remember our memories and consider how our futures are determined through what took or is taking place within the home environment and our daily lives. This multi media installation is a subtle and empathetic collection or glimpses of visual memories through participants’ photographs, drawings, ceramic work, animation, dance, singing, faux stained glass work, projection and film. Together we explored many strands of thought, including visualisations of hopes and aspirations for the future, for ourselves, our communities and the world in which we live.
‘House of the Heart’ celebrates the collective memories and aspirations of the people of South Liverpool.
Arts In Regeneration teamed up with South Liverpool Neighbourhood Manager, Peter Kearns and his team to identify groups in Netherley, Gateacre, Woolton, Garston and Speke to participate in the projects. |
